Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The work of O'Dell in Charleston on police leniency towards DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the DUI incidents. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. In the years following her stay living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and as an investigative journalist. She then became a part of Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. Her current position as host for Access Hollywood is complemented by her contributions to NBC News Today, Dateline NBC as well as NBC News. She's reported on the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
